Ci-dessus, une pierre contraint le mouvement de la roue générant une tension et un roulement latent. En effet, de par leur trou béant sur leur partie supérieure, ces pièces insolites ont le centre de gravité déplacé. Cela leur confère à la fois stabilité et, une fois en mouvement, un hypnotique balancement. Elles contiennent une énergie potentielle qui les rendent en tension permanente, prêtes à basculer. Malgré leur stabilité apparente, ces Dancing sun portent en eux ce possible déséquilibre et cette probabilité de mouvement.

Above, a stone constrains the wheel's movement, generating tension and a latent rolling motion. Indeed, due to the gaping hole in their upper part, these unusual pieces have a displaced center of gravity. This gives them both stability and, once in motion, a hypnotic swaying. They contain a potential energy that keeps them in a state of constant tension, ready to tip over. Despite their apparent stability, these Dancing Suns carry within them this potential imbalance and this probability of movement.

CARRARE MARBLE /
Les pièces en marbre de cette série limitée sont extraites d'un même bloc de Carrare. Les autres roues présentées sont en laiton massif poli à la main et en bois de wengé massif. La confrontation de ces trois matériaux amène une dynamique complémentaire et établit une hiérarchie sensorielle, renforçant la tension entre inertie et cinétie.

The marble pieces in this limited series are carved from a single block of Carrara marble. The other wheels presented are made of hand-polished solid brass and solid wenge wood. The juxtaposition of these three materials creates a complementary dynamic and establishes a sensory hierarchy, reinforcing the tension between inertia and kinetic energy.
CHÂTEAU DE BÉNAT /
C’est un trou de verdure où chante une rivière, accrochant follement aux herbes des haillons d’argent. Où le soleil de la montagne fière luit. C’est un petit val qui mousse de rayons.

Une constellation de volumes identiques se déploie au sol. Ces roues énigmatiques sont disposées là, comme des fragments d’un langage inconnu ou des témoins fossiles d’un rituel oublié. Leur masse est évidente, leur silence pesant. Au premier regard, tout semble suspendu, figé.

A constellation of identical volumes unfolds on the floor. These enigmatic pieces are arranged there like fragments of an unknown language or fossilized remnants of a forgotten ritual. Their mass is evident, their silence weighty. At first glance, everything seems suspended, frozen.
