Jean-François D’Or studied industrial design at ENSAV La Cambre Brussels since he has built up solid and varied experience. Starting working in New York in textile industry, back in Belgium he worked few years at the head of design office of Light brand where he worked closely with demanding designers such as Maarten Van Severen. In 2003, he set up his own industrial design & art direction studio.

His approach takes account of company imperatives as well as user needs and is tempered by the desire to reach a market, his products set out to enrich our environment. Exploring numerous materials, Jean-François D’Or brings out their beauty without ostentation. His simple, humble, unpretentious, logical objects appeal as much on for their evident, clearly perceptible design as well as their intrinsic poetry.

His edited collections includes collaborations with international brands such as Ligne Roset, Domani, Toss B, Kenzo, Maison Vervloet, Cinna, Droog design, Cruso, Vika, Schreder, Fiskars, La Rochère, Osram, Centre Pompidou, Serax, Palais de Tokyo, Minale Design Strategy, The Conran Shop among others.

Jean-François D'Or objects are part of the permanent collections of Museums such as MUDAC Lausanne, CID Grand-Hornu, Gent design museum, Design museum Brussels.

His designs, installations and performances have been exhibited at Milan, New York, Sao Paulo, Stockholm, Tokyo, Seoul, Paris, Brussels, Köln, Como, Hong Kong, London.

Voted Belgian designer of the year in 2013, Jean-François D’Or continues on a steady path of flawless rigor. Since then, he has also opened up other complementary chapters such as installation, concert, performance, video and writing in transversal and experimental ways.

Loudordesign studio is an industrial design agency that focuses on duality and complementarity of creative and pragmatical solutions. We work for industries from conceptual idea to production via methodological development. This global process applies to all consumer goods produced by industries. Product design strategy :
