Ephemeral moment
Le chant du coquelicot, song of the poppy flower, sings the awakening of the red sun.
In the French etymology, the word coquelicot, meaning poppy flower, was « coquelicoq » and cames from the French word « coq », meaning cock. Into the fields, the poppy flower was confused with the red head of the familiar bird; solar animal yelling the rising sun at the beginning of the day.
During three days and three nights, following the schedule of sunrises of worldwide cities,
a synchronized system linked to universal clock activates powerful ventilators that provoke aleatory vortex. In this ephemeral wind whirlpool, thousands of golden leaves blow up in a musical dance that filled the architectural space; evocation of impalpable morning sun rays.
As light as air, those sensitive leaves of gold, nearly immaterial, float a moment, look for a point of support on the air, hesitate, finally descend in a calm vaulting, arising delicately on the ground; waiting for the next sun awakening.
